Measurements, collaborative concepts and 3D renderings give shape to your ideas.
Call (765) 288-1874What would you like your bathroom to feel like? Share the details you are drawn to and the parts you want to reconsider. 1874 Design Studio offers bathroom remodeling from our Muncie studio.

Think about the tile, flooring and fixture finishes together. Would you like a quieter combination, or a detail that stands out? Our showroom selections include tile, flooring, hardware and plumbing fixtures. Bring your preferences and ask which options fit the bathroom you have in mind.

Every bathroom asks different questions. A primary bathroom, sometimes called the master bath, may be about a larger shower, a double vanity or a calmer place to start and end the day. A hall or family bathroom often needs more storage and finishes that suit daily use. A powder room is small enough that one bold choice, like wallpaper or a statement mirror, can set the tone for the whole room.
Tell us which bathroom you are thinking about and who uses it. Our project gallery includes primary bathrooms and powder rooms if you want a starting point.

Bathroom remodeling is one of our services. Our process includes collaborative design concepts, 3D renderings and material selections. We work through design and finish choices with you as part of the Design and Discover phases.

Consider these questions as you think about the room:
Ask about the specific work you have in mind so we can discuss your project.

The shower and tub usually shape the rest of the room. Are you picturing a walk-in shower, a freestanding tub, or both? Would a bench or a tiled niche make your routine easier? Is the vanity short on counter space or storage?
Thinking about trading a tub for a walk-in shower? That change comes up often. We can remove an existing tub or tub-and-shower unit and build a shower in that same space. We also build zero-entry showers, with no curb to step over.
Bring these questions into the design conversation. Design concepts and 3D renderings help you see how a new shower, tub and vanity fit the room before anything changes, and our Discover phase brings tile, hardware and plumbing fixture selections into the same plan. If saving water matters to you, EPA's WaterSense label identifies showerheads that use no more than 2.0 gallons per minute; mention it when we get to fixture selections.

Accessibility is worth planning for at any age. A surgery or an injury can change how anyone gets around, so we often plan for easier access even when no one has asked for it. That might mean a zero-entry shower, grab bars or a wider doorway.
Grab bars have come a long way in looks. Some now match the plumbing fixtures and look more like towel bars, and they can give a shower a more finished look. When a bathroom needs to meet ADA standards or a very specific need, we design for that, too; we have designed bathrooms and other rooms around a client's particular needs.

Discover is our material-selection phase, with name brands and boutique lines to explore. Deliver then brings the project details and proposed total cost into review before the build phase, Difference.

Choosing tile is easier when you can hold it next to the vanity finish and the faucet you are considering. In our Muncie showroom, our design team helps you pair tile, flooring, hardware and plumbing fixtures for the bathroom you have in mind. Our cabinetry lines from WW Wood Products and countertops from MSI, Cambria and Cosentino are there to compare as you plan the vanity. Ask about a visit when you tell us about your bathroom.

Yes. Our Discover phase focuses on material selections and guidance on finishes.
Please do. Describe the change in your consultation request so it can be part of the project conversation.
We also offer whole-home renovations. Share the broader idea and explore whole-home renovations before deciding where to focus your questions.
Yes. Bathroom remodeling is one of our services, and a small room goes through the same design process as a large one: measurements, design concepts, 3D renderings and guided selections. In a small bathroom, careful space planning and a few well-chosen finishes can change how the whole room feels.
No. Anything we do is design-build, so the person helping you plan the bathroom is part of the team that builds it. We do not hand a drawing to someone else to figure out.
It depends on the scope of the work, whether the shower, tub and vanity stay where they are, and the tile and fixtures you select. The proposed total cost is reviewed in Deliver, our project-review phase, once the design and selections are set. Share your expected investment on the consultation form so we can plan with it in mind.
Usually, yes. Most of our clients live at home while we remodel. Our team uses site protection, air scrubbers and daily clean-up to keep the rest of the house comfortable, and for some projects we plan the work in phases so more of the house stays usable.
It is a conversation about your project, held in your home or at our Muncie showroom. We talk through what you want to change and the scope of the work, and screenshots or saved images are welcome. Detailed measurements come later, at a field measure, once design begins.
Yes. Installation work carries a one-year workmanship warranty, and the products you select carry their manufacturers' warranties. Beyond the warranty, we stand behind our work, and taking care of our clients is a top priority. We are a division of Knapp Supply, which has been in business since 1874.
