What design-build means for your project
Design-build means one team is responsible for your project from the first conversation through the build. At 1874 Design Studio, it is the only way we work. We do not offer design on its own, and we do not hand a drawing to someone else to figure out. As Laura Sherrell-Miller, our Director, puts it, "we need to build what we design, and design what we build."
For you, that means fewer handoffs. The people who measure your space, share design concepts and 3D renderings, and guide your selections in our Muncie showroom stay involved through project review and the build. Trade professionals work alongside our design and project management teams, so the decisions made on paper carry into the finished room.

Do you work on rooms beyond kitchens and bathrooms?
Yes. Our services also include whole-home renovations, offices, mudrooms, laundry rooms, basements, built-ins and fireplace remodels, as well as structural remodels, home additions and custom homes built on your lot.

How do I know whether I need a structural remodel or an addition?
